After all the 3D movie mania, directors and producers from Odisha finally managed to release an Odia 3D horror movie called Kaunri Kanya. The people of Odisha are now eagerly waiting for the 1^st ever 3D movie in Odia. Producer Mr. Ramya Ranjan is finally coming with his 1^st ever 3D horror movie. Mr. Soumya Ranjan Sahu being the director of Kaunri Kanya is keeping his fingers crossed and hopes it will do a good business in Ollywood market. 

The meaning of Kaunri Kanya is a girl who possessed Black Magic or Kaunri Vidya.  The story of Kaunri Kanya is like a girl Riya and her doctor husband Akash who has been transferred to a rural area. Suddenly some unnatural and unseen events started in their lives. Riya is the one who’s getting suffered and possessed from these thinks. So Akash takes the help of one of Dr. Rajiv, a senior psychiatrist.  Both of them finally managed to find the reason behind these things. Akash found that a village boy Ravi who fell in love with a girl Anusuya who was killed by his own village people blaming her witch craft. This is how the movie Kaunri Kanya continues and how Akash saves her wife from this Black Magic.

All the characters in the movie Kaunri Kanya are teen agers. The characters in the movie Kaunri Kanya are around 25 ages. The director must have a tough time shooting the movie. As the movie has not yet completed but the success rumors of Kaunri Kanya is all over Odisha. The movie is based on the legends and myths.
