Ollywood movies in 2013

It seems that 2013 is going to be a a significant year for the Ollywood film industry in terms of number of movies that are being made. Yes, Ollywood is going to break its own records in 2013. In the first 7 months of the year i.e from Janaury to July, already 24 movies have been released. 

The year 2013 started with a bang for Ollywood when 3 movies were released on January 1. The three movies were ‘Mo Dil To Diwana’, ‘Badhu Nuhen Mu Bandhu’ and ‘Tu Mo Suna Tu Mo Hira’.  After that again the Ollywood Directors and Producers dared to release three movies on 17^th May. In the history of Ollywood this has never happened. Only on the occasions of some popular festivals like RAJO or Dassehra we have seen more than two Odia films releasing on the same day. The most important thing here is that a few new banner movies had been released along with some of the old and reputed banners of the Odia film industry. Some of the old banners of the Odia Industry are Sarthak Films, Maa Tarini Production, Bishnupriya Art and Graphics, Chakadola Productions etc. The new banners that showed a lot of courage to compete with these old biggies need to be praised. There are a few new directors who have made a promising start to their careers and have made some remarkable movoes in 2013. Alka Nanda, Deepak Panda, Jitu Rout, Sailendra are a few among them. The experienced directors like Himanshu Parija, Sudhanshu Sahu, Asok Pati, Sudhakar Basant, Jyoti Mohanti have also made several movies this year. If this pace of making movies maintained then Ollywood can see as many as 40 movies being made this year.

The movies that are being made and are waiting to be released are Dharma, Mita Basichi Mu Bhuta Sathire, Mu Diwana, Bachelor, Daddy, Sweet Heart, My First Love Student, Kidnap, Sangam are a few of them. Ollywood is also going to get its first 3D horror film which produced by Angel Bee Media and directed by Doumya Ranjan Sahu. The other forth-coming films include Anubhav-Brasha starrer ‘Kehi Bhala Lagere’. Sarthak Music is also going to produce a new film with Babusan.
